Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director, the Parks & Recreation Manager is responsible for assisting the Director in the general supervision and control of the Parks and Recreation Department. The Parks & Recreation Manager will assist in developing and directing the public recreation program to serve the needs of the citizens of the community, including a variety of programs for youth, adults, seniors, adaptive, and nature service programs, while also providing additional oversight for the maintenance of the city’s park system.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Recreation or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
Seven (7) years of progressive experience in a supervisory role, including both recreation and park settings.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Related professional certification is required; Certified Parks and Recreation Executive (CPRE) achievement preferred.
