The Economic Development Committee consists of members of town boards, the Chamber of Commerce, and citizens at large. Its members are appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The Committee has three main purposes: first, to advise them on issues concerning policies and zoning that foster commercial and business growth, secondly to support and help market Acton’s existing business community,
and third, to help to stimulate appropriate growth of new businesses in Acton.
