Perform assignments involving security measures prescribed to ensure the safety of persons and property in court facilities.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.This is an unclassified at-will position.

0-4 Years- $31.89
5-14 Years- $33.02
16-19 Years- $33.87
20+ Years- $34.72
Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
High School diploma or GED.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years of age.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possess a City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a New Mexico Law Enforcement Certificate or successfully meet the New Mexico Department of Public Safety Certification by Waiver training requirements and eligibility standards.
Must pass background investigation.
Must pass psychological and polygraph examinations.
Must qualify biannually for sidearm certification.
Must pass physical agility test.
Must successfully complete the post-offer employment medical examination.
Preferred Knowledge
- Law enforcement functions as it pertains to court security and court proceedings
- Principles and practices of security procedures
- Principles and practices of fire safety and evacuation procedures
- Methods and techniques of two-way radio communication
- Modern office procedures and methods of basic computer equipment
- Principles and procedures of record keeping and basic report preparation
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and regulations
