MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program with coursework in Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Transportation/Traffic Engineering, Public Administration, Geography, GIS, or a related field.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiar in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Software, Synchro, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Flexibility and a willingness to engage in diverse transportation projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Environmental Factors:
Work will be performed indoors in a general office environment. Occasional tasks will take place outdoors in safe weather conditions. Work will be performed in traffic when driving a vehicle and making observations during site visits once a month. Traveling to locations in nearby municipalities and Denver will be required occasionally.
Physical Factors:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will use a computer, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Time spent walking will be minimal but will be required while conducting site visits. Occasional bike use may be required to help gain a better understanding of the functionality of Town infrastructure. Job tasks will require frequent typing throughout the day. The employee will carry items such as poster boards and boxes of writing material once a month. Occasional tasks will require bending, kneeling, and stooping. Grasping, lifting, holding, and reaching of objects weighing up 25 pounds will be required occasionally and grasping of items such as pens and notebooks will be required daily. Tasks require the frequent use of color discrimination, peripheral vision, near and far visual acuity. Phone use and communication will be frequent and require the ability to hear. The employee will occasionally walk and travel on uneven surfaces.
