Do you love working at outside events? Are you looking for a flexible, part-time job? Saint Paul Parks and Recreation is looking to hire up to 7 people as Citywide and Harriet Island Special Events Staff. The position is temporary and part-time.

No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Work hours vary and include nights and weekends.

Here's What You Can Expect To Do

  • Assist with event operations such as load in/load out, set up/take down, customer service, trash/recycling assistance, and light maintenance
  • Supervising and monitoring of events
  • Perform light office work
  • Prepare event signs
  • Evaluate events

Position Requirements

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  • Flexible availability and willingness to work on holidays (Labor Day weekend, July 4th and Memorial Day weekend) is required.
  • Must be able to attend required virtual training (date/time/location to be determined).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from a variety of Saint Paul regional park and trail sites. Experienced bikers are encouraged to apply, as many shifts take place along bike trails.
  • Must be able to communicate via e-mail and navigate online scheduling system, timecard, and reporting tools.

Temporary: This posting is open to anyone who meets the position requirements. This position is eligible for Earned Safe and Sick Time (ESST). Other benefits are not provided.
