Qualifications

Responsibilitie
- s:Supports the Office of Economic & Community Development’s strategic goals to meet objectives and increase economic and community development opportunitie
- s.Responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of economic development incentives and sites and building
- s.Responsible for providing support to economic development marketing events, including assistance to prospect companie
- s.Responsible for utilizing the department’s CRM platform to record relative data regarding new and expanding projects in Hoove
- r.Supports retail development marketing and recruitment effort
- s.Under direction of the Economic Development Manager, develops and prepares materials that provide a clear definition of Hoover’s advantages and asset
- s.Supports development of responses to requests for information (RFIs) and requests for proposals (RFPs) from site selection consultants, company representatives, and local, state and regional economic development partner
- s.Supports grant proposal
- s.Developing effective marketing brochures and other pitch materials, in conjunction with other Office of Economic & Community Development Staf
- f.Initiates contact with businesses interested in investing in the communit
- y.Initiates efforts to attract businesses that meet the City’s target industrie
- s.Builds and maintains relationships with lead generating organizations and other partners to encourage investment in Hoover through project location or expansion opportunitie
- s.Engages in a variety of activities designed to retain local industrie
- s.Analyzes the needs of present and prospective employers; coordinates efforts to address these needs with private industry and local/regional/state partner
- s.Establishes and maintains communications and cooperative efforts with local businesses and business organization
- s.Attends meetings of public boards and commissions as a representative of the Office of Economic & Community Development; provides reports and proposals for use in public meeting
- s.Keeps immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed concerning work progress, including present and potential work problems and suggestions for new or improved ways of addressing such problem
- s.Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions and reviews publications and audio-visual materials to become and remain current on principles, practices, and new developments in assigned work area
- s.Responds to citizens’ questions and comments in a courteous and timely manne
