Required Education and Experience:
- Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
- Four (4) years of technical related engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in any specific area of study as deemed applicable may substitute for four (4) years of experience; or
- Associate’s degree in areas of study listed above may substitute for two (2) years of experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job as those listed above.
Available Schedule:
- 8 hours daily, Monday - Friday

**Scheduled salary increases and a potential 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) are anticipated effective July 1, 2025**
Additional Supplemental Compensation for a maximum of 10% differential:
- 5% for Master's Degree
- 5% for FE or FS Certificate, Professional Engineer or LS
- 5% Spanish/English bilingual pay
- 2.5% for GIS Professional Certification
The anticipated hiring range for the Engineering Technician III position is $32.68 (first step) to $34.31 or $36.03 (second or third step). The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, andqualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act. Six steps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.
