Join our team as the first point of contact for customers at the Surprise Parks and Recreation office. In this role, you will assist with program registration, park and facility rentals, and provide general information about our recreation programs, parks, and events. Additionally, you will oversee office supply management to ensure smooth daily operations. This position requires strong multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment, making it perfect for individuals who thrive under dynamic and engaging conditions.
Summary
Incumbents assist with the planning, implementation and coordination of a wide variety of recreation activities and programs and community special events. Responsibilities include supervising facilities or specific programs or activities, customer service, problem-solving, routine day-to-day operations and reports, scheduling entertainment, setting up events/programs, inventory, and rule adjudication. Incumbents may be assigned as cashier to receive checks and cash, process payments, and procure supplies and services. Incumbents oversee part-time staff and volunteers.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED, and two years of related recreation experience. Additional education cannot be substituted for the required experience. The education requirement can be substituted with related recreation experience on a year for year basis.
CERTIFICATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona Driver License. Positions that work in licensed programs require certification in Community Infant, Child, Adult CPR, and First Aid within six months of hire.
