The Assistant Director of Public Works is responsible for the leadership, management, and strategic oversight of assigned divisions within the Public Works Department. This position directs and coordinates operations to ensure efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and optimal resource management. The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Public Works and collaborates with other city departments, external stakeholders, and the public to support the city's infrastructure and operational needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Public Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Driver's License
Preferred:
- Experience in public works, infrastructure maintenance, civil construction, or related areas
- Professional Engineer License
