What You’ll Do:

As the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our County buildings and grounds remain in top shape. From supervising maintenance staff to overseeing budgets and coordinating with contractors, your work will directly support the safety and comfort of employees, residents, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, from hiring to performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility inspections.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of County grounds, including mowing, irrigation, and snow removal.
  • Manage departmental budgets and coordinate special projects and contractor work (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed records including time sheets, inventory, equipment logs, and safety reports.
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure all equipment is used and maintained safely.
  • Act as a liaison between the department, other County departments, and the public to ensure timely completion of projects.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a knowledgeable leader who thrives in a hands-on role. Ideal candidates will bring both technical know-how and strong people skills.

  • Expertise in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or mechanical systems.
  • Strong project coordination and vendor management experience.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities while keeping your team motivated and aligned.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and inventory system

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in building maintenance or construction-related fields.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Idaho HVAC Journeyman License (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable.
  • Must pass pre-employment and random drug screenings and background check.
