Job Description
As the Coordinator, Social Media Strategy & Insights, you will provide crucial business insights to drive key decisions and strategies to grow NBC Sports’ social business. You should have both a keen eye for what makes good social content and understands the data and insights that inform smart business decisions.
This full-time position sits on the NBC Sports marketing team and reports to the Director, Social Media Strategy & Insights.
Responsibilities
Analyze and report on data and performance for the NBC Sports owned social portfolio and deliver reports and insights to help shape and drive content strategy
Observe and evaluate user behavior and content performance on a variety of social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, etc.) to further specialize and tailor content for our audience
Evaluate and report on trends and performance from talent, partner leagues/teams/athletes and competitors
Engage in social listening projects and deliver insights on audience conversation and sentiment
Coordinate with members of the Marketing Strategy team to share insights and help inform and learn from season-long and tentpole event strategies
Gather data for and report on NBC Sports branded content efforts
Other duties as assigned by Director, Social Media Strategy & Insights and Vice President, Social Media
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, or a related field; or equivalent work experience
Minimum one (1+) year of relevant work experience or related internships
Experience in social data or listening platforms (Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Comscore, Meltwater or other related applications)
Desired Characteristics
Proficiency in social data or listening platforms
Ability to derive key insights from data and distill them into actionable insights and strategies
Vast knowledge of sports and internet culture
