The Office of Innovation Director is responsible for leading efforts to modernize government operations, improve service delivery, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making. This is accomplished by identifying, enhancing and developing innovative and transformative practices, initiatives, programs and technologies by merging overall business strategy and P.E.O.R.I.A. values with innovative thinking using advanced analytics, process improvement methodologies and innovation/design principles.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

  • Experience in a municipal or government setting;
  • Experience in lean management processes and techniques;
  • Experience implementing process improvement methodologies;
  • Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder projects.

Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or public administration, statistics, or a directly related field;
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible continuous improvement and/or organizational development experience, including a minimum of three (3) years at the managerial level or higher. Requires excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments with diverse stakeholders;
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License upon hire.
