Parks Maintenance Worker

Position Description
The purpose of this position is to preserve the appearance and upkeep of City park grounds and facilities. This is accomplished by maintaining park grounds and flower beds, repairing irrigation systems, maintaining buildings and other park facilities, preparing athletic fields for games and controlling weeds and pests on park grounds. Other duties include maintaining equipment, assisting with special projects and interacting with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Leave
The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED. 
  • Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License.
  • No experience required.


Additional Information
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Special events and rotating weekend duty.
