As a member of our landscaping crew, you will play a vital role in enhancing our recreational and park facilities through a range of manual labor tasks.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
This position's work schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
Examples of Duties
Serves as a crew member for parks and landscaping maintenance work;
Maintains and repairs park facilities through manual labor;
Performs litter control using a light-duty truck;
Transports trailers, mowers, and other equipment;
Loads and unloads supplies and materials;
Fills in holes in parks and completes planting, mulching, trimming, and spraying herbicides;
Uses a variety of hand tools, power tools, and equipment to complete landscaping tasks;
Assists in setting up for events and programs;
Operates mowers, tractors, and implements to complete landscaping duties;
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; and
Six months of manual labor experience
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of :
relevant machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repairs, and maintenance.

Special Requirements
Valid North Carolina driver's license and acceptable driving record.
This position will occasionally be required to be available for special events and athletic tournaments, as well as being available during inclement weather.
This position will occasionally work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
