Under the general supervision of the Parks and Recreation Manager, plans, organizes, and coordinates the use of City recreational facilities. Represents the Parks and Recreation department in contacts with various civic recreation groups and organizations with regard to programs and activities. Performs related administrative duties as assigned.
Functions And Responsibilities

Coordinates and schedules the use of facilities by outside groups and organizations for recreational and leisure activities, ensuring appropriate equipment and facilities are available. Administers fee schedules for facility use.
Plans recreational programming, with outside groups and organizations utilizing city facilities, with the exception of the Golf Course and Ice Arena. Evaluates the success, maintains the records, and manages the budget and expenses of each program.
Assists with Golf Course and Ice Arena programming as needed.
Responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of city events, such as In The Park Concerts.
Administers the contracts for outside services for the Parks and Recreation department including at the Golf Courses and Ice Arena. Works with instructors to provide approved leisure services.
Monitors and evaluates contractor performance for compliance with contract provisions and payments to assure appropriate income distribution to the City.
Studies recreational needs and makes appropriate recommendations.
Prepares a variety of written reports and presentations on recreation programs, finances, and facilities.
Assists with the revenue and expenditure budgets for the Parks and Recreation department in collaboration with the Parks and Recreation Manager.
Creates marketing and advertisements for Parks and Recreation needs, including creation of flyers, brochures, email campaigns, social media postings, and updating the website as needed.
Responsible for the collection, balancing, and deposit of daily revenue receipts. Submits all required information and documentation to Accounts Payable.
Leads and organizes the civic memberships and donations programs.
Responds to citizen inquiries, concerns, and complaints ensuring that all items are resolved promptly and sufficiently.

Education And Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation administration or closely related field preferred
A minimum of 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in Parks and Recreation administration and facility management
Must have, or be willing to obtain, and maintain CPR certification
Must have active driver's license
A combination of relevant work and education experience will be considered
Physical And Environmental Requirements
Must be able to lift over 25lbs
Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work weekends and holidays, as needed
Must be able to work outside in extreme conditions
Must be able to transport between off-site locations
