PLANNING AND RESEARCH MANAGER
This position is responsible for researching, analyzing, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Police Department. This position requires a superior acumen for analytical thinking, professional planning, strategic decision making, and critical thought. Experience and understanding of law enforcement practices, policies, and procedures is beneficial, as well as the ability to identify and recommend innovative solutions to complex challenges. This position is also responsible for assisting with budget administration and must have experience in interpreting numerical research data. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month.What We're Looking For· Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, criminal justice, criminology, police administration, or related field.· Three years of experience as a management assistant, analyst, or auditor in local government.· Equivalent work experience in police service or government administration will be considered in lieu of formal education.· Valid Texas Class C driver’s license.
