Position Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Police Chief at the City of Kearney in Nebraska. The Police Chief will oversee the day-to-day operations of the police department, develop and implement law enforcement strategies, coordinate with other city departments, and ensure public safety within the community.
Qualifications
Law enforcement management and leadership skills
Knowledge of community policing principles and practices
Experience in budget management and resource allocation
Crisis management and decision-making abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field
Current certification as a Law Enforcement Officer
