Job Description And Duties
The Deputy Director, Resource Management serves as the principal advisor in the area of Resource Management under the administrative direction of the Chief Deputy Director, Operations in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE). The incumbent administers CAL FIRE’s statewide Resource Management programs, including, but not limited to: Forest Practice, Resource Protection and Improvement, Fire and Resource Assessment, and Climate and Energy. The incumbent also acts for the Chief Deputy Director, Operations on budgetary, financial, and other administrative matters relating to Resource Management which affect CAL FIRE’s programs.
This position may qualify for a recruitment and retention bonus of $1,350 per month.
