Summary


The incumbent will be responsible for researching, identifying, and coordinating grant decision making across the agency as well as writing and editing grant applications.
 
  • Collects relevant data and prepares reports. 
  • Monitors contractor compliance with contracts and grants. 
  • Participates in development of Request for Proposals and proposal scoring.

Grant funded.

Note:  Incumbent is not required to hold Probation Officer Certification. There is no stipend available for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Researches and identifies grant opportunities and prepares agency grant applications.
  2. Responsible for ongoing grant management and preparation of required reports to ensure grant compliance.
  3. Works across the agency to develop grant applications and performs grant writing responsibilities.
  4. Coordinates with Quality Development Unit on preparing statistical reports.
  5. Conducts contract monitoring of agency contracts for compliance and performance.
  6. Coordinates with community partners and other service agencies to gather and convey information.
  7. Performs general record keeping and data entry duties and other related tasks as assigned.
  8. Assists in the development and implementation of relevant policy and procedures.
  9. Participates in preparing and scoring Requests for Proposals, Requests for Qualifications and Requests for Quotes.
  10. Assists in annual contract review and updates.
  11. Performs all other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

TO APPLY, must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, psychology, criminal justice, business or a related field. 

TO APPLY, must have Three (3) full-time years of related work experience in juvenile/criminal justice or operating programs/services for youth in the juvenile justice system. 

TO APPLY, must possess a valid driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance. 

Experience in grant writing, contract monitoring, or program monitoring is preferred. 

Working knowledge of grant preparation, development, writing, and compliance monitoring. 

Ability to perform word processing proficiently. 

Must have strong writing ability and ability to effectively communicate with department personnel, community agencies, grantors, etc. 

Accuracy in filing, data entry and detailed record keeping. 

Ability to write accurate and professional reports.

Possess interpersonal skills in dealing with the public.

Physical Demands and Work Environment & Other Requirements

While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb, lift, push, and pull.  Use of a motor vehicle is required to perform the essential duties of this position.  Out-of-town travel may be required on occasion.
