Position Overview
The Director of Facilities Management provides leadership and oversight for the medical center and rural health clinic operations related to:
- Plant Operations
- Environmental Services (housekeeping and laundry)
- Safety and Security
- Campus Maintenance and Sustainability
You will supervise key support teams while developing, implementing, and evaluating all environmental health and environment of care programs. The role ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies (CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission, NFPA) and leads ongoing inspection readiness efforts.
In addition to strategic leadership, this is also a
hands-on role—ideal for someone who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed. From project planning to daily operations support, you will help keep ECMC running smoothly.

Education
Associate degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field is required.
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
Experience
A minimum of three (3) years’ managerial experience required.
Management experience in healthcare facility and knowledge or experience with CMS regulations preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge in support services units.
- Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of all Federal, State, & Local codes.
- Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, Life Safety, & NEC Electrical Codes
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to determine appropriate course of action in more complex situations.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, be attentive to detail, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple and simultaneous responsibilities and to prioritize scheduling of work.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal information.
