Position Summary

Administers and supervises the social services program of the Human Services Department involving the interpretation and assessment of polices and the supervision of professional personnel assigned to the social services unit.  Coordinate with other agency supervisors/managers to ensure effective collaboration.  Coordinates with the Director, Social Service Supervisor, Fiscal Supervisor and Income Maintenance Supervisor to ensure internal alignment of departmental operations. 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Ability to communicate with the public, other county employees, law enforcement personnel, agency clientele, physicians, psychologists, teachers and school administrators, and various other service providers.

Minimum Credentials

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and four years’ experience as a social worker or an equivalent combination of training and experience.  Must have a valid driver’s license.

Personal Computer Competencies

Word processing and spreadsheet competency required.  Willingness to learn additional software as needed for the position is required.
