This recruitment is being established to obtain a current eligible list for both full time and Extra-Help vacancies. Extra-Help are not entitled to county benefits and are limited to a maximum of 25 hours per week. Extra-Help pay is $27.48 - $30.31 per hour.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Investigates complaints and investigations concerning land use, illegal operations, and zoning compliance based on suspected or obvious violations.
Conducts follow-up inspections on conditional of approval for land use permits.
Makes recommendations for extensions and revocations of conditional and land use permits.
May issue notices of violations and citations and appear before the Planning Commission.
Advises the public on procedures for compliance with zoning and land use regulations.
Maintains a complaint ledger, files, and other records of investigations.
Works cooperatively with other departments on common enforcement problems and investigations.
Studies and keeps abreast of applicable ordinances for departmental objectives, studies and projects.
