The Prince William County Office of Management & Budget is looking for an energized, dedicated and dynamic personality for a Fiscal Manager position supporting the County’s new Performance Management & Accountability program.
About This Role
Duties include:
Overseeing the implementation of a County-wide performance management program focused on enhancing transparency, efficiency, and data-driven decision-making. Responsibilities include developing policies and frameworks for accurate measurement and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs), leading performance-related financial planning and budget oversight, managing data-driven reporting, and coordinating performance and financial audits. This role also supervises analysts and collaborates with County departments to ensure meaningful data collection and service evaluation. To be successful, the candidate should possess expertise in fiscal oversight, performance management, KPI development, and enterprise systems integration (e.g., Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion or other software solutions). The position requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution of performance improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and 7 years of experience in performance management and analysis.

Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field such as economics, public policy, statistics, accounting, or analytics
Professional work experience in local government budget, performance management, or financial analysis
Demonstrated experience leading or supporting organizational performance programs and KPI tracking
Oracle EPM Cloud/Hyperion, Smart View, and Microsoft Excel experience
Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with multiple internal and external stakeholders

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with some evenings and weekends from January – May. Primarily telework, but there is a need to attend some meetings in person within and around Prince William County.
Starting Salary Range: $91,163 - $121,826 (salary range through midpoint)
