Annual Salary: $98,109 – $119,537 Annually - DOQ
The City of Rancho Cordova is seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Civil Engineer to join our Public Works – Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Team. This position is ideal for an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) who is passionate about public infrastructure and wants to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects that enhance the community.
With a robust 5-year, $1 billion Capital Improvement Program and over 80 active projects, the Assistant Civil Engineer will assist with the planning, design, and construction of roadway, transportation, stormwater, and citywide improvements. This role provides the opportunity to gain broad exposure to project management, construction inspection, and engineering design within a collaborative, innovative environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- One (1) year of technical engineering experience is desirable.Capital Improvement Project experience is highly desirable.
- Possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certificate issued by the State of California.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California Driver’s License.
Salary & Benefits:
$98,109 – $119,537 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes CalPERS retirement, Universal Time Off, 13 paid holidays, medical/dental/vision options, tuition reimbursement, and hybrid work flexibility.
