City Manager
The City of East Ridge, proudly known as the Gateway to Tennessee, invites qualified professionals to apply for the position of City Manager.
Located along Interstate 75 at Exit 1 and adjacent to both Chattanooga and the Georgia state line, East Ridge is a thriving and rapidly growing community of more than 22,000 residents. The City employs approximately 180 dedicated team members and operates with a general fund budget of $27.8 million across its eight square miles.
Home to the Chattanooga Red Wolves, Camp Jordan Park, Topgolf, and the new Venue 1921 event center, East Ridge combines small-town character with progressive growth and opportunity.
The City Manager reports directly to a five-member City Council and is responsible for the administration of all municipal operations, departmental leadership, fiscal management, and the implementation of Council policies and initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration or a related field (required)
Master of Public Administration (preferred)
Minimum of three consecutive years in a supervisory public management role within local government (required); ten years preferred
Proven leadership, financial management, and intergovernmental relations experience
Commitment to collaboration, transparency, and high-quality service delivery
Residency Requirement: The successful candidate must reside within Hamilton County or relocate to the East Ridge city limits within twelve months of appointment.
Compensation: Salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The City offers a comprehensive benefits package.
