The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate III to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position and is critical to the day-to-day operations of the Parks and Recreation Department. This position will perform a variety of maintenance work, which contributes to the upkeep, care and maintenance of the Town’s infrastructure.

SCHEDULE: Standard schedule is 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional evening and weekend assignments required as needed.
Expected Hiring Range: $19.12 - $23.42 per hour
- Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range: $19.12 - $27.73 per hour
- Leads assigned staff; provides service to internal and external customers.
- Maintains park grounds including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation system upkeep, and pest control
- Tracks and manages work orders, workflow, materials and supplies.
- Performs routine semi-skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks.
- Operates heavy equipment such as mowers and utility vehicles safely and efficiently
- Participates in seasonal outdoor maintenance tasks
- Inspects cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.

- Calls, clears and documents Blue Stake.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
- Over three years of experience as a groundskeeper, landscaper, grounds maintenance specialist, or in a directly related field.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- Must pass a 50-pound lift test
- Must complete a pre-employment physical and audiogram
- Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
- One of the following certifications within six (6) months within hire date: Certified Playground Safety Inspector, Certified Arborist, AFO Arizona Certified Pesticide Applicator or Arizona Certified Pesticide Applicator
- CPR, First Aide, AED certifications within six (6) months of hire date.
