The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate II to work in the Parks and Recreation Department. This is a full-time position and is critical to the day-to-day operations of the Parks and Recreation Department. This position will perform a variety of maintenance work, which contributes to the upkeep, care and maintenance of the Town’s infrastructure.

Expected Hiring Range: $17.87 - $21.89 per hour
- Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.
Salary Range: $17.87 - $25.92
Schedule: This position requires working the afternoon shift (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM), holidays, and weekends. Weekend shifts may have daytime availability on a rotational basis.
- Maintains park grounds including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation system upkeep, and pest control
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on park facilities, structures, and equipment
- Operates heavy equipment such as mowers and utility vehicles safely and efficiently
- Assists in the setup and maintenance of park amenities for events and seasonal activities
- Conducts repairs to park infrastructure such as fences, benches, and playground equipment
- Participates in seasonal outdoor maintenance tasks
- Tracks and manages work orders, work flow, materials and supplies
- Inspects cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
- Calls, clears and documents Blue Stake.
- High school diploma or GED equivalency
- Over one year of experience as a groundskeeper, landscaper, grounds maintenance specialist, or in a directly related field.
An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass a 50-pound lift test
- Must complete a pre-employment physical and audiogram
- Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
