About us:Lake Cammack covers more than 800 acres with a shoreline of over 50 miles. Located north of Burlington, the marina offers recreational opportunities for paddlers, fishers, and boaters as well as walkers and wildlife enthusiasts. Often deer and bald eagles can be spotted around the lake. What you will do:An employee in this class is responsible for assisting in the operations of the marina and some maintenance of the grounds at Lake Cammack Park & Marina in Burlington.
This is a part-time, PRET position which requires weekday and weekend hours, including holiday weekends. This position requires less than 1,500 hours per calendar year.- Lake Rules and Regulations: Educate patrons about lake rules and regulations to ensure safe and enjoyable activities for all visitors.
- Fee Collection and Accounting: Accurately collect and process fees for rentals, activities, and parking, ensuring proper documentation and financial tracking.
- Equipment Check-In and Facility Rentals: Oversee the check-in process for fishing boats, jet skis, kayaks, and other watercraft. Distribute fishing permits and manage shelter facility rentals.
- Patrolling and Monitoring: Regularly patrol the bank fishing area and picnic spaces to identify and resolve any potential issues or concerns promptly.
- Park Inspections: Conduct hourly checks throughout the park to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational functionality.
- Restroom and Facility Maintenance: Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of restrooms, picnic/playground areas, and shelter facilities, maintaining a welcoming environment for all guests.
Minimum Qualifications:- Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.
- Valid NC Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications:- Some experience with boats or maintenance procedures.
Working Conditions:- Working conditions are both indoors and outdoors.
- This employee will be exposed to various weather conditions.
