Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position located in Austin, Texas. The Investment Analyst will contribute to the management of COAERS' investment portfolio by conducting in-depth research, monitoring asset classes, and analyzing market trends. The role involves assisting in the evaluation and selection of investment managers, preparing performance reports, and making informed recommendations to support investment objectives. The Investment Analyst will perform regular financial analyses, coordinate with external advisors, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Excel and financial databases
- Knowledge of capital markets, asset allocation, investment performance analysis, and risk management concepts
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills for crafting reports and recommendations
- Capacity to collaborate, multitask, and work effectively in a team environment while demonstrating attention to detail
- Ability to conduct extensive independent research and stay current on investment trends and financial markets
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees such as MBA or CFA certification preferred
- Experience in institutional investment or asset management is a plus
