Beloit Public Library seeks to hire a Marketing Assistant for long-term, part-time employment to support marketing, communications, and outreach efforts across the library’s full brand portfolio, including Beloit Public Library, Blender Café, Discovery PLAYce, Friends at Beloit Library, and Beloit Public Library Foundation.
This position supports the creation and management of marketing content including graphic design, social media, website updates, video, photography, digital signage, and general promotional support. The Marketing Assistant works closely with the Marketing & Communications Coordinator to execute strategies that are engaging, brand-aligned, and connected to the library’s strategic goals.
The schedule for this position is flexible, although occasionally will require evening and weekend hours to support events, outreach activities, and other operational needs. This is a part-time position, working 20 hours per week.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- An Associate's degree in the area of marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field. Or 2 years experience in the area of marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with social media content creation.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
