ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Operate mowers, weed eaters, blowers, vehicles and equipment
· Clean restrooms and pick up litter around parks
· Perform a variety of duties in the maintenance and repair of the irrigation system
· Maintain and perform minor repair on park facility structures
· Utilize a variety of hand and power tools and assist in routine maintenance of such equipment
· Prepare and maintain athletic fields
· Water, mow, weed trim, renovate and fertilize lawns
· Rake straw and clean walks, fields and other facilities
· Perform tasks involving the maintenance, construction and repair of park and recreational facilities
· Maintain records of fertilizers and chemicals used
· Perform manual labor including lifting heavy weight, stooping, bending and twisting
· May collect fees and provide information to the public concerning the use of park facilities
· Perform other such duties as may be assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must have a valid driver license
· Must be 18 years of age or older
· Have a High School Diploma or GED
