The Accountant Analyst will perform professional budget and accounting duties encompassing financial analysis, record-keeping, and reporting across City departments. Responsibilities include financial analysis, budget development support, general ledger maintenance, and preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple City departments and funds.

What You'll Do
- Support the development, preparation, monitoring, and reporting of departmental and citywide budgets.
- Assist in the analysis of revenue and expenses related to the preparation of the City budget.
- Perform accounting work involved in financial record keeping and reporting.
- Verify, balance, and adjust records including journal entries.
- Enter, maintain, and analyze data within assigned financial systems, maintain and generate reports.
- Serve as a budget resource to departments by researching and resolving budget and financial questions and issues.

- Two (2) years of professional accounting experience; government accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
