WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This position is new to our division and will work some days out of Zach Gordon Youth Center downtown and likely have some flexibility to work at home. The position is primarily a M-F role with some flexibility in hours. Occasional weekend and evening work for special events should be expected.
This position will assist the Youth Services Division, including Zach Gordon Youth Center, Shéiyi Xaat Hit Youth Shelter and Transitional Living Program, BAM Afterschool, and Youth Sports. Under the general supervision of the Youth Services Manager, you will provide administrative support to the Youth Services Division. Duties will include but not be limited to assisting with personnel paperwork, purchasing for the division, supporting social media and website management, tracking grant reports and data, and assisting with donor correspondence and volunteer appreciation. This position is unique for an administrative position as it will have the opportunity to support and/or develop programming for youth as time allows and it is likely you will interact with youth daily in some capacity.
Education:
High School graduation or the equivalent.
Experience:
Six (6) months of clerical experience. This work is equivalent to an Office Assistant with the City & Borough of Juneau or equivalent
elsewhere.
SUBSTITUTION:
Post-secondary or vocational training may be substituted for the required experience on the basis of: three (3) semester or four (4) quarter hours of post-secondary education are equal to one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education are equal to one month of experience.)Other:
