The Senior Equity Coordinator is responsible for leading the development and coordinating the implementation of a comprehensive equity program for the Community Development division, in coordination with the division’s leadership team, Equity Change Team, and staff across the division. The Senior Equity Coordinator leads the implementation of, and as needed the updates of, the Community Development Division’s Racial Equity Action Plan (REAP). This position will coordinate the implementation of Division initiatives from the REAP, including tracking and reporting on progress. This position will also assist with developing training or other programming to educate the Division on equity and how to integrate it into their work, coordinate with other equity program staff across the Council, and serve as an internal consultant advising or consulting with Division staff and managers on how to integrate equity into the division’s work.
