The City of Winona has one open position in both the water and wastewater divisions.
This entry level position focuses on plant maintenance and groundskeeping of the water or wastewater facilities. Duties include inspecting and maintaining equipment, painting, general repairs, groundskeeping, cleaning, and assisting operators with specialized maintenance.
Minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent; one year of maintenance experience; Class B CDL, Class D Operator License, and Type 4 Operator license for land application of biosolids (wastewater only). The City will provide resources to help the selected candidate obtain licensure. Entry level workers can progress to an experienced operator position after training and demonstration of competency.
