Role Description
This is an on-site, full-time role as City Administrator based in Washington, MO. The City Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the city, managing public services, implementing city policies, and advising elected officials on key decisions. The role includes developing and managing budgets, driving economic development initiatives, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of municipal operations. Collaboration with community leaders, residents, and stakeholders to address citywide challenges is a key aspect of the position.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Public Administration and Economic Development to oversee city operations and promote sustainable growth.
- Proficiency in Finance and Budgeting to ensure responsible fiscal management and allocation of city resources.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for problem-solving, strategic planning, and effective decision-making.
- Experience in managing municipal projects, staff, and programs.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including government officials, community members, and business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and promote transparency within municipal operations.
- Advanced degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Missouri state laws and municipal governance is a plus.
