Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Exercises supervision over a small team of professional staff; schedules and conducts Engage meetings and evaluations; ensures assigned policies, procedures, and forms are completed and processed timely; review final drafts of policies, procedures, and forms to ensure they are grammatically correct, free from spelling errors, and contain appropriate content as provided by team members, task forces, or committees; ensures workgroup packets are prepared and submitted to workgroup team members timely;
- Oversees and assists in the designing and revising of department forms in Adobe LiveCycle Designer and/or Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) including the designing and updating of existing electronic forms using Adobe LiveCycle and/or AEM; converting legacy static forms into various Adobe dynamic formats; advising team members on e-forms best practices, layouts, quality assurance and usability; define and document forms requirements; and customizing templates to meet requirements using XML; Adobe LiveCycle requires script/code writing to ensure forms function correctly;
- Assists in the designing and revising of departmental policies and procedures; confers with appropriate staff members on proposed procedural changes or projects; researches, prepares, directs, and provides assistance to task force groups; conducts and/or participates in meetings with subject matter experts to facilitate the formulation of procedure development and/or revisions; oversees the coordination and the administration of methods and equipment in the development, use, recommended revision and dissemination of forms; establish schedules for filing, storage, and destruction of active and inactive forms records;
- Prepares, maintains, and submits various records and reports that are clear, concise, and grammatically correct; respond to inquiries from all levels of staff members, the Attorney General's Office, and the public regarding policies, procedures, forms, and Sunshine Law requests; maintains knowledge and compliance with department and division policies, procedures, and forms; evaluates internal processes for effectiveness and efficiency and submits recommendations for revisions;
- Serves on committees, process improvement teams, and strategic initiative teams as needed
- Receives general supervision from an administrative supervisor who reviews work for attainment of unit objectives
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
Seven or more years of professional or technical experience in a business, governmental, or military setting, where the primary duties involved formal classroom training, training course design and development, and/or curriculum planning; professional teaching experience at the high school level or above; and/or educational administration involving responsibility for curriculum planning and the supervision of teaching staff.
OR
Seven or more years of professional or supervisory experience with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university, that include earned credit hours in Education, Business or Public Administration, the social sciences, or a closely related field, may be substituted for up to four years of the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year – a minimum of three years of the listed experience, from either eligibility route, is required)

Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
