The City of Surprise Marketing and Communications Department is looking for a talented
professional to assist our Surprise TV team with video production and special event coverage. We
are looking for someone with experience televising public meetings; working in both studio and field
video production environments; and operating a variety of video broadcast related programs and
equipment. This is a part-time, as-needed position that averages about 10 hours per month. Come

Summary
Incumbents provide a multimedia approach to producing and converting video content for a variety of platforms, including TV, web and social media, to include researching, writing, capturing visual content and editing stories for multiple platforms. Incumbents will broadcast public meetings, special events coverage, develop and produce television programs for the city. Incumbents will provide setup for broadcast productions throughout the city; attend events on nights and weekends, as needed; make recommendations for the purchase of video, audio, lighting systems and computer equipment production to ensure system performance and meet industry and manufacturer standards; provide technical support and assistance to the department.
EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's Degree and two years of technical experience, including some municipal government experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
