The Township is seeking applicants for the contract position of
Arena Attendant (Part Time) who will, as required, be called upon to perform general custodial and general maintenance duties within the Township’s recreational facilities.
The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and be available to work as required including late-evening and weekend hours to accommodate user groups. Candidates with prior experience working in an arena environment and/or working with the public in a customer service role will be preferred.
The individual will be expected to assist with the set-up/takedown and operation of facilities for functions, reception and event rentals. This position provides general and custodial maintenance within and surrounding the facilities including but not limited to cleaning stands, removing debris, mopping, cleaning dressing rooms, moving of nets for ice resurfacing etc.
The person requires the proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and must act professionally in providing service to the public and as a representative of the municipality.
The hourly wage for this position is based on minimum wage (as determined by the Employment Standards Act, 2000), and the hours of this position will vary per week.

The Township is seeking a Deputy Fire Chief who will supervise the operation of the Fire Department to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the department and enforce legislation such as the Ontario Fire Code, the Fire Protection and Prevention Act, and other applicable standards to ensure fire safety is accomplished in the Township.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years’ related experience in a supervisory role within a fire service and has demonstrated competent leadership and management skills. A degree or diploma in a discipline such as Administration, Management or Business, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience is required. This position requires the successful candidate to hold, or be able to attain a minimum NFPA 1001 Firefighter I and II, NFPA 1021 Fire Officer I II and III, NFPA 1031 Fire Inspector I, NFPA 1033 Fire Investigator, NFPA 1035-1 Public Educator, and NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor I & II.
The ideal candidate is required to have good knowledge with respect to: modern firefighting, rescue and fire prevention principles, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the Fire Prevention and Protection Act, as well as NFPA, CSA, ULC and other standards as they apply to apparatus, equipment and procedures of the Fire Department. The individual must have certification in first aid, CPR, defibrillation and oxygen therapy and hold a valid Class “D” licence with “Z” endorsement.
This person will be expected to provide strong leadership within the Fire Department, using initiative and good judgement in carrying out the duties of the position. The person must be flexible, adaptable and possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will provide superior customer service skills and act professionally when dealing with both internal and external contacts. Teamwork is an essential competency of the successful candidate and the proven ability to supervise volunteer firefighters, in a similar environment is required.
The 2026 salary range for this position is $90,854 to $110,552, based on a 40-hour work week.
