Fauquier County is seeking an analytical and detailed orientated teammate to join our Finance Department to serve as the Finance Technician.
The Finance Technician provides general support for the maintenance, reconciliation, and internal controls process and procedures related to financial transactions of the County and School Division. This position is responsible for processing payroll, preparing payroll reports, and ensuring accuracy of financial records.
Ideal candidates should have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited community college with major course work in the payroll, accounting or related field and some experience in business or governmental financial accounting and payroll.
