We Are Currently Seeking
A crew leader to join our team and perform specialized equipment operation and semi-skilled labor in the repair and maintenance of City streets, bridges and infrastructure and leads an assigned work crew, in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Supervising work crews in repair and maintenance activities, special projects, sidewalks and ADA ramps; prioritizing and assigning tasks; ordering and staging materials, supplies and equipment; training crew in work procedures and the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Maintaining records, work orders, and logs of work crew activities in electronic records management software.
- Controlling work sites to ensure that safety rules and regulations are adhered to, and that the work zones and all equipment are in safe operating condition.
- Operating, cleaning and maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; identifying and reporting problems requiring additional attention.
- Utilizing proper safety precautions in all work performed; reporting problems and emergency situations; recognizing, avoiding, and reporting unsafe acts, conditions, accidents and injuries.
- Ensuring that hazardous materials are cleaned up in a timely manner and controlled according to City policy and procedures.
- Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm, some overtime/on-call shifts may be required.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; and two year's maintenance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses Or Certifications
- Must possess a valid Texas Commercial Driver License, Class A.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
- Work is performed outdoors; required to perform moderate physical work, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
