BRIEF DESCRIPTION
This is a non-supervisory position. Maintains the golf course and its facilities, takes out and putts up golf carts, and may be involved in the golf cart and driving range maintenance operations. Duties include the performance of manual and machine aided labor tasks; mowing grass and using different types of mowers.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to meet and work with the general public in a friendly and courteous manner
- Ability to work effectively with minimum direct supervision
- Thorough knowledge of the safe and proper operation of equipment including safety standards to prevent hazards.
- Sufficient skills to service and make minor repairs on equipment.
- Ability to communicate well, both orally and in writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduate or equivalent; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Experience in maintenance work is desirable.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED
A Valid Class C Texas driver license and the ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS AND SAFETY HAZARDS
Primarily in an outdoor environment with the ability to operate indoors when needed. May be exposed to extreme heat and cold during summer and winter months.
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED
Standard office equipment including multi-line telephone, computer, fax machine, copier, scanner, shredder, printer, etc.
Golf carts, push mower, reel-type mower, small riding lawn mower, various tree trimming equipment, shovel, fertilizer spreader and various hand tools.
