The city is looking for an Ambulance Services Director with the primary responsibility of covering daytime ambulance calls and supporting the daily operations of the West Concord Ambulance.
Responsibilities
This position's primary duty is the performance of office or non-manual work directly related to the management and daily operation of the City of West Concord Ambulance Services. Coordinates and monitors services, performance, and productivity levels. Participates in incident command structure during major events. Communicates, supports, manages, and educates employees and volunteers.
Under limited supervision of the City Administrator, the ambulance director is responsible for daytime emergency medical response and administrative duties including inventory, records maintenance, assisting department members, billing, and providing support to the ambulance service, as needed. This position reports to the City Administrator and communicates internally with the fire chief, staff and volunteer EMR/EMT’s, city administrator and other city staff. This position communicates externally with customers and patients, state and regional EMS programs, billing company, and other health providers (hospitals, assisted living homes, fire response, county dispatch, medical billing/insurance, suppliers, and vendors).
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s degree or equivalent with a focus on Emergency Management or related medical field preferred.
· Five (5) years EMS Management Experience or other related Supervisory experience preferred.
· Experience in MNTRAC and State E-Licensing System.
· Valid Minnesota Class D Driver’s License
· Licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or higher for Minnesota
· American Heart Association BLS Provider Certification
· CEVO Ambulance Certification (or equivalent)
· State of MN EMT certification and NREMT certification. NIMS 100,200,700, 800 certificates or ability to obtain in 1 year.
· Must successfully pass a reference and criminal background check.
