Special School District (SSD) operates 8 school buildings, a Central Office, a Learning Center, a Distribution Center, and 3 bus garages. As director of facilities, you will plan and direct the maintenance, operation, and construction at these sites to ensure our staff and students are provided with clean, safe, and appropriate physical spaces to work and learn. Guided by DESE, state, and federal regulations, you will develop short and long-term plans to meet all compliance requirements, follow budgetary guidelines, and help our District achieve its facility-focused goals.
The director of facilities works at our Distribution Center at 700 Fee Fee Rd, Maryland Heights, MO, 63043, Monday through Friday. Nights and weekends are occasionally required. They are generously compensated and receive benefits, including insurance, paid time off and holidays, access to staff health clinics, and more.
