COMMUNITY OUTREACH COORDINATOR
DEPARTMENT: COMMUNICATIONS
This position is responsible for a variety of programs geared towards improving community communications and education in regard to city programs, projects and initiatives. Duties include assisting residents, businesses, and visitors with resolution to questions and concerns; coordinating civic outreach activities that enhance community relations; serving as a liaison for residents, businesses, and visitors for guidance in problem-solving, requests for information, and presentations regarding city programs and services; assisting with graphic design requests, website content, and Print Services operations; and overseeing the departmental budget. A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with major course work in communications, marketing, public administration, public relations or a related field required. Must have a minimum of three years related experience and have, or be able to obtain, a valid class C Texas driver’s license. Must also have strong interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent written and oral communications skills. Schedule will include some evening and weekend hours. PAY GRADE GG21 / FULL PAY RANGE $5,205 – $7,337 PER MONTH ($62,460 – $88,044 ANNUALLY)
