$118,489.32 - $147,988.20 Annually
$9,874.86 - $12,332.35 Monthly
$56.97 - $71.15 Hourly

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration or closely related field.
EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of progressively responsible professional purchasing and procurement experience, including municipal or local government related. Two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred.

THE POSITION The Purchasing Manager will serve as a key member of the City’s Finance Department and will contribute by providing leadership and expertise in all areas relating to the purchasing process at the City of Eastvale. This individual will doso with a “can do” attitude and “get it done” approach to work in a fast-paced environment while working closely with a talented, energetic, and highly engaged team of City talent. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING • Implementing a new City-Wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system• Updating the City’s current Purchasing Policy, creating purchasing processes, and implementing best practices• Participate in the invitation for Bids process and assist departments with Request for Proposals/Qualifications• Establishing a vendor list and obtaining unit pricing• Establishing contract management database• Issuance of Purchase and Change OrdersTHE IDEAL CANDIDATEThe City of Eastvale is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Purchasing Manager who is ready to take ownership of our procurement processes and drive efficiency within our operations. The ideal candidate will be resilient and assertive, confidently negotiating and securing the best outcomes for the city without being easily swayed. They will have a proven track record of creating and implementing new procurement processes that streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Strong conflict management skills are essential, as the candidate must be adept at handling disputes and resolving issues quickly and effectively. This individual should also be capable of leading a team, while also efficiently managing their own responsibilities with minimal supervision. Their commitment to accountability and ownership of their role will ensure that all procurement activities align with the city’s goals and regulatory requirements.
