Job Responsibilities
- Coordinates research for evidence-based programming that meets the criminogenic needs of inmates.
- Assists in the organization, delivery, and supervision of diverse, evidence-based, inmate rehabilitative programs administered by the agency.
- Assist in the development of inmate prog evaluation instruments that measure prog effectiveness.
- Oversees the grants application process securing funding in support of the agency.
- Reviews inmate prog objective/outcomes.
- Assist in reviewing of SCDC programs, looking for measurable objective/outcomes, to categorize programs as mandatory, essential, or elective.
- Analyze assessment data in relation to inmate learning and assists in the development of instructional strategies that create an effective learning environment for inmates and prog staff.
- Conducts studies to determine needs, goals, and priorities of inmates for the development of additional job skills training and programming.
- Serves as community liaison for multiple jurisdictions cultivating agency partnership.
Must successfully complete two (2) weeks of SCDC basic training upon hire.

Minimum And Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or the social sciences and experience in contracts and grant administration activities.
SCDC Minimum Requirements
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
- A Bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree with ten (10) years' experience preferred.
