Summit County is seeking a dedicated Part-time Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team and support the county’s indigent defense system. This position involves performing a variety of complex legal administrative duties designed to assist and support Summit County’s public defenders and expedite the provision of legal services to those in need. The successful candidate will work under the general supervision of the Deputy County Manager or Managing Defender and receive daily direction and assignment from all contracted public defenders within Summit County’s indigent defense system.

SALARY: $30.00 - $33.00 hourly
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduation from high school with course background in general office skills; AND
- Two (2) years’ experience as a legal secretary or in some other comparable position providing exposure to legal terminology, methods, and criminal justice procedures; OR
- A combination of education and experience.
