Under general supervision, performs highly responsible administrative, managerial, and supervisory responsibilities in the operation and activities associated with staffing and casework services of the Social Services Department. Coordinates staffing, and distribution of work responsibilities and various case-related activities.

A Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology other Behavioral Sciences or a closely related field and five (5) years of direct work experience in case management, social work, law enforcement or related duties managing, staffing, and handling a caseload of at-risk youth. A valid driver’s license is required.
OR
An Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Psychology, Sociology other Behavioral Sciences or a closely related field and seven (7) years of direct work experience in case management, social work, law enforcement or related duties managing, staffing, and handling a caseload of at-risk youth. A valid driver’s license is required.
OR
The equivalent of a high school diploma and nine (9) years of direct work experience in case management, social work, law enforcement or related duties managing, staffing, and handling a caseload of at-risk youth. A valid driver’s license is required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work requires limited physical effort and primarily involves extended sitting, intermittent standing, intermittent walking, and extensive typing/computer keyboarding. This position may require the occasional lifting and carrying of up to twenty-five 25 pounds. Work involves the potential for bodily harm and exposure to infectious diseases. Work involves the potential for physical harm and emotional stress related working in and around at-risk juveniles and their families.
