Job Summary
The Loudoun County Department of General Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a Senior Facilities Project Manager vacancy.
The successful candidate will:
• Plan, organize, and manage complex construction and maintenance programs to include major facilities maintenance, roofing, and repair
• Execute assigned projects
• Manage development of building assessments
• Develop pre-designed programs and professional services, and construction contract scopes of work
• Establish facility maintenance and repair programs to ensure safe and effective use, and to enhance the longevity of the facility
• Ensure work is executed in accordance with approval plans and specifications
• Inspect construction sites and hold progress meetings with contractors

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field; four (4) years of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The following are preferred:
• Background and proficiency in Mechanical Systems and/or MEP Trades (Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing)
• Prior experience installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial HVAC systems
• Mechanical Master's License (in Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Plumbing disciplines) issued by the Commonwealth of Virginia or a neighboring state
• Related certifications such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Pool Operator (CPO), Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), and/or manufacturer-specific trainings
• Microsoft Office
Job Contingencies and Special Requirements
Successful candidate will undergo pre-employment criminal, and DMV record background check, to include criminal justice information system (CJIS) fingerprinting.
Valid driver's license and good driving record are required (driving records may be reviewed annually for continued qualification). Must be able to inspect existing facilities and active construction projects; will be exposed to inclement weather while in the field; will be exposed to hazardous conditions associated with construction sites and activities. Must be available for duty beyond the normal workday; must be available 24/7 when required to respond to County emergencies.
